Not so fortunate day...

It was my son, Ariel's 3rd bday yesterday n we went to Genting Highlands to celebrate it. It was unwise of me, thinking that we were gonna have lots of fun there.

Upon boarding the bus from One Utama, we were aware that there was no return tickets available for that day. My hubby, being adventurous as he has always been assured that worst comes to worst, we'll just spent the night there. (with no spare clothings except some tees for the kids n diapers for aidil).

When we arrive to board the skyway, the queue was horrendous..we queued for 30 mins.

Up at Genting, it was like Jakarta....with countless crowds from everywhere..i heard people speaking in unfamiliar chinese dialects, indonesian n other languages that i'm not familiar with. I cant get my kids to any rides as it was full house..they only managed to play a few rounds of indoor games- which they can easily have in the malls!

I was actually looking forward to do some shopping- a handbag or some clothing for my kids- but was not that lucky..the sale up there was nothing compared to mainland.

Going down was even worst- my hubby queued for about 1 hour while the rest of us waited at the gate to board the skyway.

At the end of the day, my elder kids, Sofea n Ariel were too tired for dinner. Only my baby Aidil had dinner with us n we even skipped cake for Ariel!

Dont worry Ariel..daddy n mommy will make it up on ur bday party with kakak on the 14th feb okay darling....

Folly Americans

I love watching the American TV series...i super love ugly betty, sex n the city, heroes (season 1...quite lost in season 2 & 3), prison break n etc..presently i’m following grey’s anatomy, heroes, samantha who?, brothers n sisters, 90210 n desperate housewives.. some i really enjoy watching n some just to kill my time in front of my huge plasma..

Samantha who? is written by cecelia ahern n if u hv read her novel Remember Me?, this show is actually kinda adapted from this novel.. i like watching brothers n sisters n the 2nd season just arrived in star world (haha..i'm way behind..i know)..the wacky walker family just got wackier each episode n i love rob lowe..n calista too (i’m a fan of ally mcbeal too back then)..talking about this brothers n sisters show, i was quite disturbed while watching the last 2 episodes recently...kevin’s boyfriend, who is a reverend (a gay reverend?) is being sent on a mission to Malaysia (again...church mission to Msia...r we like Philippines?) ..so Kevin was so upset about it and bleat about not being near his reverend boyfriend. His sis, Sarah said it’s no big deal..there’s telephone in Asia.. n Kevin whined.. “It’s Malaysia!” what? so there’ s no telephone in Msia? n again in last nite’s episode Kevin bleat again about how his reverend is now in a place far away like somewhere in the jungle of madagascar...yupp..that’s his exact words..jungle of madagascar..how atrocious!! while i love the madagascar 1 & 2 ( i like to move it move it..) how dare the writer assumed that my Malaysia is a jungle! don’t they study anything on Asian there? how ignorance n illiterate r they about Asia n Malaysia? to Msians living in America..please DO enlighten ur American friends about Msia okay...they r absolutely clueless about many facts n realities in life...

Back off!

We are ending this decade at a bitter note. The economy is being hit by the worse crisis since the Great Depression. Everyone is feeling the effects of the crumbling economy. Food prices are higher, gas prices are erratic, and everything just cost more. Though it is not that quite visible or feel-able (yet) for us in M'sia, it's not such a bad idea to start being more conscious and to start screening your purchases.

Another bitterness to add on the already bitter end of this decade would definitely the inhumane invasion of gaza by the israelis. It's such a horrific experience reading it from the papers, even more dreadful to watch those gruesome and horrendous pictures next to the stories.

A lot of boycott campaigns have been going around in lieu to this monstrous act from the israelis. Recently, i've got this sms from a friend of mine on the list of items/products to boycott. My heart almost sank when i found that nestle, disney n mcd made the list...even starbucks too! its easier for many to boycott those other stuffs like maybelline, revlon, lancome, perrier, clinique (which i stopped using as it didn't really made any difference to my skin..)..but nestle? my family only eat cereal made by them! we hated kelloggs n d others..urggg..and starbucks too? darn it!! will old town cafe's hazelnut blended a good substitute to frappucino...well maybe so..

I'm not really sure how this boycott thing is ever gonna affect anything though they said it's better to at least start from something so small rather than nothing at all..but still i dont really agree with the idea of boycotting the usa...there are millions of nice people n stuffs there n doesnt mean tat when their president is a total wacko, therefore the whole nation is too...like everyone else, we hope something better would take place after the inaugural with the better looking obama..hopefully by miracle the sadist israelis will just get the message n just back off!

Back to Work

I’m teaching new lots of kids in Cempaka Damansara this year (requested for a transfer after i learnt that Ms Tye from Damansara requested to teach in Cheras)..i’m teaching the same level though..form4..thank God no more moral..its kinda miserable to teach in bahasa..though i’ve taught it in english anyway;p...poor those kids who had to endure listening to the teacher ‘preaching’ in english and answering the questions in bahasa..sorry 4 comm1..u guys a bomb!

It’s totally different in here from Cempaka Cheras (pn aimi did warn me bout it...hehehe) well..Mr Alphonsus was damn right ‘bout the stairs..they are too narrow..lol...i do miss Cheras campus, my former kids there n especially my spacious and seclusive staff room..but most of all..i miss driving there...how i thought that Damansara which is technically half the distance from my place to Cheras would save me more time on the road! It took me around 25 minutes from my place to get to cheras and obnoxiously..it also took me 25 minutes to get to damansara! and i also reached home at about the same time as when i was still working in cheras! how irritating and exasperating was that?

The Day The Earth Stood Still vs Twilight

I managed to watched these 2 movies last mth. The truth is, i only watched the earth movie coz Keanu was in it...i was quite disappointed at how the story ended..both me n my hubby were like...what the heck? why did he just leave like that? to me, the movie was a bummer...i wonder what was the hype about the movie after all.. yeahhh ..keanu..that’s explained it all...

Twilight, on the other hand was beautiful n serene..yeahhh you wont see any baddy and blackguard vampire there..not even fangs..but it was utterly pretty and winsome. (my fav line: James: “you brought a snack?”) And the music was totally awesome. Muse rock!!!Though the kids in Cempaka Cheras were drooling over the novel and had been plugging me to read it...i simply chose not to read it as vampire n teenage stuffs were just not in my list of things that i would read about. However, when the movie finally arrived, i felt..oh..why not?...i find the novel was so engaging and absorbing. (bad news though: man like edward cullen will never exist). Kudos to Stephenie Meyer for making thousands of kids in Malaysia to actually read; not only 1 but 4 phenomenal novels..(and it was crazy locating the saga as they were sold out everywhere in the klang valley..i had to pressure my hubby to get me the 3rd saga, eclipse from singapore)..yeahh...breaking dawn was even lovelier and sublime and i think i beat my friend, Jan who had watched it for 5 times in the cinema...(well, i bought the pirated dvd..hahaha)

I’m sure there’s more exciting movie coming up this year... being an avid reader to sophie kinsella’s novels..i’m kinda looking forward to the coming-soon-in-cinema ‘confession of a shopaholic’ starring don’t know who she is,..though from the trailer it doesn’t look so promising. i watched bedtime stories couple of days earlier n it was a blast..adam sandler did it again,,the movie was totally out-of-this-world hilarious n we laughed like mad...literally. i wonder when will my regular dvd guy would have it for sale;)

December 2008

Yupp..i know there was no entry last mth. Its just that since my routers is spoiled, i find it neither enthralling nor appealing to work in front of the pc no more. Hence, this blog of mine was in inaudible status.

Apart from spending time with my little ones and working out at the gym (which presently is on a temporary not so sure until when on halt...); i hang out with my girlfriends and catch up over movies and tgif. How times flies...i have known these ‘girls’ since we were in form 1 and at the rate we were giggling and ooing over good hot gossips..we still very much sounded like any other form 1 kids...

Oh..and i turned 31 year old (hmmm..from 13 to 31..sounds familiar eh?) this mth. Hubby bought a 32 inch lcd and claimed it as my birthday present from him and later bought a 42 inch full hd lcd..also claiming it as my birthday present. I was like..what was that all about?? so now i am enjoying every bit of my movies n starworld on my huge tv in my bedroom...(which has been alluring and seductive and as a result..lesser time spent for my ‘beauty sleep’ at nite).

As the year reached its final destination, i was still kinda absent minded. Where has the time gone to?..it was so freaking super duper fast n i’m still driving on the left lane...
